In the picture on the left I was one month postpartum after my second c-section & still up 25 pounds. The picture on the right is now at 21 months postpartum & honestly I am not sure what I weigh, because what matters most is how I FEEL!💗
Fitness is so much MORE than just looking good or being a certain number on a scale. It’s about feeling confident in your skin, it’s about reducing stress + anxiety, it’s the constant in my crazy & it’s helped me gain energy with two wild toddlers running around!
I don’t restrict food or calories (been there done that🤦🏻♀️) And I don’t workout for an hour a day. I just follow 20-30 minute at home structured workouts that tell me exactly what to do so that I am never guessing + a simple nutrition plan (which includes chocolate & pizza🍕)
Postpartum is hard and I am the first to admit that I don’t bounce back, but I know what works for me, so I stick with it! I knew I DESERVED to feel my best for me and for my kids.... and so do YOU! Self care is not selfish mama’s, it’s necessary!

I did a lot this morning: ran 4 miles, washed the family denim, did a full-body workout plus 10 minutes of abs. It’s my day off so I have time. But I’m also getting ready for 6 Weeks of The Work!
That’s the name of a new program coming out in a couple weeks. I’m excited but also a bit scared- I expect my 🍑 to be served on a platter!
But if nothing changes, nothing changes. You have to do something, and it’s called work. I know I’ll be modifying the workouts in the beginning- even an expert was a beginner once, too. I believe you have to fail to grow, make mistakes to bring the learning home.

⚠️⚠️From super skinny and insecure to STRONG, FIT and CONFIDENT💪🏋🏻♂️ This is how fitness changed my life... I started working out when I was around 23, weighing only 120 pounds soaking wet. I was really struggling with how my body looked. My many insecurities and lack of confidence frustrated me - I was fed up and finally made the decision that it was time to make a change.
I was always the super skinny guy wherever I went. The mental challenges I faced everyday prevented me from enjoying life the way I knew I should have been.
I usually doubled up my T-shirts to look “bigger” so that I wouldn’t feel like everyone is judging me for how skinny I was. But, that never worked since several times a week someone would say, “You should eat more to put some meat on those bones.” For me, fitness helped me finally see physical changes, which gave me a BIG boost of confidence - something I lacked my entire life. Because I struggled with these insecurities and feelings of self doubt for so long, I needed something that could help me change my body and also upgrade my mindset.
It was hard at first, I was copying what other people were doing in the gym and trying to get a big chest (actually, a chest in general) and arms that didn’t look like toothpicks.
Although the results were good, I didn't REALLY start making changes until I hired a coach who helped me focus on learning how to master the foundation of my body by tracking my workouts and nutrition daily, focusing on progressive overload principles and working on building strength.
So, I eventually decided to become an Online Health and Fitness Coach because of the benefits fitness brought to my life - building an abundance of confidence, something that I never had before and transforming my body into something I once thought was impossible. Transforming my life fuels me to help so many men and women completely change their lives.

1 cup dry organic oats
1/2 cup all-natural peanut butter or nut butter of choice (I used cinnamon vanilla cashew butter)
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup raw honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
1/4 cup mini dark chocolate chips
2 packets pumpkin spice shakeology (could sub vanilla protein powder and add extra pumpkin spice seasoning)
1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and stir until combined. (You may need to heat your honey and or peanut butter until pliable)
2. Roll into balls of about 1 1/2 Tbsp each.
3. Try not to devour them all. 😂
4. Keep in the fridge up to a week, or store in the freezer for longer.

I wanted change for many years, but I didn’t want to Change what I was doing to get there. I didn’t want it to be uncomfortable. I didn’t want to do hard things. I was resistant to change!
Making simple changes along the way made all the difference consistently over time and I’m going back to those small habits.

My daughter is not a fan of mushrooms 🙅♀️… You would think any recipe with anything resembling them would be off-limits, right? Not so much. I just keep them off to the side and serve it over riced cauliflower, leaving the 🍄 off her plate.
This way my husband and I get a more filling dinner with few calories and extra dose of nutrients while she gets something she will eat.
