Every Day is Senior Day (60 and above) $10 Off sessions or a package. As people age, a gradual decline in lung function often occurs. This is noticeable when there is a decrease in the maximum amount of air that an individual can breathe out after inhaling as much air as possible. This happens because aging causes an individual’s bones to thin and change shape. The shape of the rib cage is affected, which ultimately causes a reduction in rib cage expansion potential. In addition, respiratory muscles weaken, making it difficult to keep the airway totally open. Dry salt goes deep into the recesses of an individuals’ lungs, absorbs impurities from the body, and helps break up mucus so the body can eliminate the toxins. Clean lungs bring more oxygen into the body to provide energy, impact every organ in the body, and improve overall well-being. #salthaveninc #breathe #healthy #natural #holistichealth #detox #immunesystembooster #feelgreat #breathebetter #asthma #skin #respiratorycare #allergyrelief #emphysema #sinusinfection #seniorday #relaxation #bayport #sayvilleareamoms #bluepoint #patchogue

On 26 November I’ll be speaking on a LIVE panel podcast recording about your STATE OF MIND 🧠 ・・・ Hosted by @gracekingswell, the magnificent @debbielewismed and I will be tackling the topic of "Taking Responsibility For Your Own Health." Is it normal that we've handed over responsibility for the way we feel on a daily basis to someone else? Is it complete madness? ・・・ So much can be gained from dialing inwards and assessing how you feel every single day, and you'll be leaving this event with the tools of functional medicine principles and the use of breath to allow you to do exactly that. ・・・ The discussion start at 7:30 at @thefore_london. Oh and there will be goodie bags!! Link in bio ☝️

“We weren’t fast enough. Hamish had already breathed in the dust” Imagine being just four years of age, living on a farm in rural WA with a love for the outdoors. You love your scooter, playing with your school mates and teasing your new pet puppy. But you have asthma, severe asthma in fact, and everything you love also happens to be a potential deadly trigger. Meet Hamish. This is how Hamish lives every day of his life. A simple change in the wind’s direction is enough to throw this excitable little boy into a life-threatening asthma attack. It has happened. He is already familiar with the Emergency department at their nearest hospital, 30km away. Thanks to his parents’ awareness of asthma and the support from our Respiratory Health Educators at Asthma WA, Hamish is managing his condition and able to enjoy the things he loves most in life. One in 10 children have asthma in WA. Many other children just like Hamish need our help to get the urgent support they need. Please help us today. All money raised in WA, stays in WA. ☝️ Link to donate in bio ☝️ #WAkids #helpnow #breathebetter #asthma

Have you ever wondered why the fall/winter holidays are scented by cinnamon, clove, and ginger? In addition to their wonderful warming effects, these plants provide immune strengthening, fight inflammation and balance your metabolism. While the research is just in its infant stages, consumption of cinnamon, even in very small amounts, has been shown to have profound effects on healthy blood sugar metabolism, and it may even induce gene expression, which could influence biological aging. That is a lot of amazing science-y stuff! I use cinnamon essential oil rather than the dried spice because it is more potent. As well as being a powerhouse that kills microorganisms like salmonella, cinnamon essential oil works as a long-term treatment for asthma, and, if used early, can help bring your blood sugar into normal range in order to combat diabetes. I will use cinnamon essential oil when I have colds and flu - just apply (diluted!) to the bottom of your feet or diffuse into the air. I also apply it, diluted, to sore muscles to relieve pain. I walk around smelling like apple pie. That's a win-win, if you ask me. A few safety tips: #Cinnamon, just like Clove or Ginger, is very hot, so dilute it before you put it on topically. If you want to take it internally, make sure you have a good-quality oil and, put it in a capsule and swallow it rather than putting a drop in your mouth. It is hot! To keep your family and friend healthy during holiday gatherings, put cinnamon in a diffuser blend. It will make your home smell like the holidays while killing germs in the air. If you want a few ideas of how to use cinnamon in your diffuser, check out my LINK IN BIO and download the Harvest Season Diffuser Blends for free. #healthyholidays #healerineveryhome naturaloptions #wellnessjourney #naturalmotherhood #naturalmotherhood #naturalmom #crunchymom #eotips #eo101 #eolife #essentialoileducator #essentialoilsforhealth #eolove #essentialoillove #oilyjourney #oilsforeverything #oillife #selfcarecoach #breathebetter #breatheasy #clove #gingeressentialoil #cloveessentialoil

Ask anyone in dōTERRA about their favorite products - chances are that both Breathe AND OnGuard make the list. Both smell ahmazing + pack a punch when it comes to benefits to your body. They’re definitely useful blends to have on hand as the weather gets colder and the seasons change. . 💥dōTERRA OnGuard Every day you’re surrounded by people at work, school, or at the grocery store that are all feeling the effects of colder weather, and it feels like just a matter of time before it will hit you, too. You protect yourself from the cold with a coat, & you do your best to keep your home clean. But, how do you build more protection for your immune system against environmental & even seasonal threats? OnGuard is the perfect answer to both of these problems. Supporting the immune system starts with the immune-boosting essential oils included in the blend: Wild Orange Peel, Cinnamon Leaf, and Cinnamon Bark. Then add in the other oils in the blend: Clove Bud, which when taken internally helps with cardiovascular health; Eucalyptus Leaf (Eucalyptus globulus) which also promotes feelings of clear breathing, & promotes oral health. Finally, Rosemary essential oil supports healthy respiratory function. The best method of using doTERRA OnGuard for the max bennies to your immune system is to take it internally, either in a beverage or in a veggie capsule. Applying it topically to your feet and up your spine are also 👌🏻 Swipe to see some ways to incorporate it in to your day 👉👉 . 🌬dōTERRA Breathe Another line of defense against seasonal threats is Breathe Respiratory Blend. Use it topically or aromatically- either method can help. For example, by diffusing this oil into the air you can minimize the effects of seasonal threats. You can also apply it to your chest or neck, like I do before a good cardio workout 🏃🏻‍♀️ - diluting with Fractionated Coconut Oil if necessary. Helps to maintain feelings of clear breathing with its refreshing and cooling scent. #betterthanvicks #breathingisgood . . ✨BONUS!!! Until the end of the day today (November 18th), you can purchase OnGuard + get a Breathe for free!! PM me for more deets! #BOGOday1

Understand a few facts about yourself and why we crave sugar and carbohydrates. For thousands of years we were seasonal creatures. Our body recognized long days of daylight and summer and knew we need to pack on fat to survive the coming winter and scarce food. Leptin stores dropped and we pounded any and all carbohydrates we could find. Then winter came, we stopped eating them and burned the fat we stored to survive. With artificial light, every day is summer. Our body doesn’t know the difference and we are indefinitely preparing for a winter that never comes by secreting hormones that crave carbohydrates. You add the fact that poor sleep also effects leptin in a negative way and we wonder why over the past 60 years diabetes, obesity and heart disease have sky rocketed. Intermittent fasting is a great way to not just loose weight, but in regulating our hormones and immune system since we no longer live seasonally. #performhex #lightsout #researchyourself #learnthebody #breathebetter #livebetter #movebetter #eatbetter

. . Stress generally is associated with negative connotations; the inability to cope, anxiety, perception of threats leading to negative consequences . However, when we endure positive stressors, we can learn new skills that we can apply to other areas of our lives, we can increase our confidence levels, and they enable us to adapt to life’s difficulties . Stress (in the right amount/situation) therefore can be viewed as a positive driver, a challenge, the potential for gain and growth . When we respond to stress physically, physiologically or psychologically, change requires an adjustment/adaptation, and it is in this space that growth takes place . . . . .
